A Business Administration graduate from Bocconi University Milan, Massimiliano then went on to teach Business Administration, Business Strategy and Policy and Internationalization Strategies until 2003.
In 1992 he joined the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Area of the SDA Bocconi School of Management, assisting with the training programs for young entrepreneurs and for many medium and large size Italian and international companies. He teaches strategy in SDA’s MBA programs. He founded and directed the Master of Management in Food & Beverage and was head of the Food&beverage Knowledge Center of the Management School.
He got his Ph. D in Business Administration in 1998, after spending more than a year studying as a visiting scholar at the City University Business School in London. His doctoral thesis covered the processes of privatization and strategic change in public companies.
In 1995 he began teaching at IULM University Milan, where he is currently a confirmed associate professor of Business Strategy following issues related to business growth and branded company management. He coordinates the Master’s Degree in Marketing, Consumption and Communication; he heads the IULM Wine Institute, the research center dedicated to the world of wine; he is a member of the Scientific Committee of the IULM Communication School and of the Board of Directors of IULM AI Lab, He has served as rector for relations with the business community.
He has worked for over 25 years in management and strategic consulting, supporting numerous medium-sized Italian companies in business and managerial growth strategies, in the process of internationalization and in the construction of new brands in B2B and B2C sectors. He also assists medium and large size foreign companies to enter and develop in the Italian market.
He has been a professor of the Elité program run by the Italian Stock Exchange, since its first edition, in the area of corporate growth.
